If you've never knit a top down raglan sweater before, then you're in for a treat! This is a fantastic first sweater for a beginner or any skill level. Using super bulky yarn, this sweater knits up crazy fast and the top-down, seamless design means that when you're done knitting...you have a sweater! No seaming, no sewing!


For this pattern you'll need to know how to knit the knit stitch and experience with putting stitches on hold, picking up stitches and yarn over increases is helpful but not required!

It uses a little over 350 yards (330m) of a super bulky weight yarn like Red Heart Grande or Ice Yarns Alpine XL and 12mm and 15mm (US 17+19) circular needles with a cord long enough to accommodate 120 stitches. DPNs or 16" circulars in the same size may be used for the sleeves and neck but I think an interchangeable needle set is best so you can make the cord longer or shorter as you go!
